MOD Quiz

Competition plays an important role in academic achievement because it often spurs students to pursue excellence more vigorously. Four students Anthariksh Nair of VA, Vatsal Kukreti of VB, Shubhi Kohli of IVE and Aryamaan Goswamy of IVC participated in the 29th MOD Quiz on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Modern School, Vasant Vihar. This inter-school quiz was exclusively for students of classes IV and V. The programme commenced with a group rendition of an English prayer, by the host school. Following this, Principal, Ms. Meenakshi Sahni welcomed the participating schools and declared the quiz open. The duration of the event was 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Thirteen schools took part in the competition which was a general quiz encompassing questions that ranged from sports, science, history, geography, films, music and art to entertainment. [gallery link="file"] The quiz comprised a preliminary written test consisting of ten multiple choice questions, after which seven teams were shortlisted. Following this, was the challenging question-answer round, of which four teams were shortlisted to proceed further. Our School qualified for this semi-final round. The semifinal round and thereafter the final gruelling rapid fire round had the students charged up in a tight contest. Each one vied with the other to answer the questions correctly first.
