A Health Mela was organized by MTNL in collaboration with Birla Vidya Niketan at Talkatora Indoor Stadium from 15 to 19 October, 2014. The purpose of the mela was to create awareness about healthy lifestyle and the emphasis was on Heart Care. Also organised were competitions in various categories; Painting, Scientific Model- Making, Yoga, Aerobics, Nukkad Natak, Music and Dance. 20 schools from across Delhi participated in the competition. Judges on the occasion were Pandit Prateek Choudhury, Shri Kajal Ghosh and Shri Santosh Nair to name a few.
[gallery columns="2"]Our School won prizes in five categories; 1st prize in the Indian Instrumental Orchestra (primary, middle and senior group) , 2nd prize in the Indian Vocal Classical Music (middle and senior group), 1st prize in the Indian Creative Dance (middle and senior group), 2nd prize in the Western Creative Dance and 3rd prize in Classical Dance (middle and senior group) competition.
The visiting schools had set up stalls. Our School had a stall of diyas and handmade soap made by our Shramdaan project. It was an overwhelming experience for both students and teachers!
