MTNL Perfect Health Mela 2017

MTNL along with the Heart Care Foundation organises an annual mela to instil greater awareness about all aspects of health for people across society. Activities are mounted on a major scale including exhibitions, educative talks, competitions, free health check-ups and medical advice.

This year MTNL in collaboration with the National Heart Care Foundation organised a four-day programme to commemorate the 25th year of its Perfect Health Mela. The mela had a mass participation of over 5,000 school children who participated in various inter-school competitions, which included skits, yoga, choreography, Competition, Science working models and their demonstrations, slogans and poster making, diya decoration, classical dance, western dance (Group), western dance (Solo), collage making and painting. It was a festival of health as it were.

The competitions on the first day (4th October) were visual art and Indian dance. Th visual art event was divided in two parts- painting and slogan cum poster making. Topics given to the students were One Earth One Mankind and Digital Health.

Shreya Palit of class IX won the third prize for Digital Health - (senior category).

Our students participated in dance in all the categories-primary, middle and senior. The theme for dance was Indian folk. Over 40 students participated in the folk dances across the categories. Our School took the third prize and the second prize in the primary and middle categories respectively.

On the second day there was western dance and choreography, for the middle and senior levels. Over 40 students from our school participated in these categories. We took the third prize in the senior category for western dance. In choreography, our School took the second and third prize in the middle and senior categories respectively.
