Multiple honours at inter school IT event

DPS International School, Saket, organised an online competition SYNTAX v5.1 on 29 December 2021 for young IT enthusiasts to challenge their technological skills and prowess.

The following events in different domains attracted participants of almost 25 schools from across Delhi-NCR.

In the Syntax_Surpriseevent,Ekveer Sahoo of class XD and Manan Kakkar of class XC were to guess how Google would autocomplete the prompt, 'Star Trek is...' in the game Google Feud.

Aarav Bansal, class VIID,participatedinSyntax_Presentationand wontheThird Positionfor his presentation- 'Positive News during the Pandemic' using the Microsoft PPT/ Google Slides App.

Sejal Gupta of class XD participated in Syntax Discussion with much verve and vigour. In Syntax Quiz, Amrita Arun of class XC and Soumya of class XB deftly answered questions based on technology, science, logic and reasoning.

Auro Sankalp of class XIIBqualified for thesemi-finalsofSyntax Gaming, wherein he had to shoot different characters in the game.

Ashmin Malhotra of class VIIIA was named winner oftheFirst PositioninSyntax Photography(junior category), that had the participants submit a photo on the theme-Shades of Life- in its raw form without edits.

Sharanya Mushraan of class XIIAsecuredtheSecond positioninSyntax Photography (senior category)for hertheme, reflection photography. In this event, the participants were to submit two photos, one unedited in any RAW image format and the other, an edited version of the original, within 72 hours of receiving the theme.

In Syntax_Crossword-Ashvin Awasthi and Haritamaa Sharma of class XA represented our School. Abhishek Gupta of class XA took part in Syntax Hackathon that saw participants create a website for musicians to share photos, videos, etcetera and sell their merchandise on the same platform. Pranya Sadh of class XD participated in Syntax Designing. The participants completed the mockup and logo for a music streaming service in 3 hours. It was a great learning experience for the students as they sharpened their IT skills and widened their horizons of the subject.
