National level art competition by INTACH

ROUTE TO ROOTS, an art competition was organised by INTACH, with the support of the Ministry of Culture on 24th November, 2017.

INTACH invited students of classes VI to IX to prepare posters on the theme of the unique identity, as it were, of the participating students family and community.

The students were permitted to include a folk story, a distinctive festival, a ritual or an indigenous practice, unique dialect, traditional dress, cuisine, family tree or dance form to depict the family or community they belong to.

The participants were instructed to submit a 100 word write up on the theme in English or Hindi along with their drawing. Around 100- 120 students from different schools participated in this event.

3 students from our School namely - Sakshi Singh, VIII- E, Simran Khandpur, IX-D and Vidhi Wadhwa, IX-C participated in the event and very aesthetically, depicted their communities using different mediums. The competition being at a national level, the results will be announced only February, 2018.

Our students thoroughly enjoyed participating in this competition and it was a wonderful learning experience for them too.
