Orientation Program for parents of class 10 promoted to 11.

An Orientation ceremony for the parents of students promoted to class 11 was held on 2 March, 2013 in the AV room. The objective was to orient parents for class 11 with insights on the various subject combinations, on new subjects like Psychology, Fashion Studies and Engineering Graphics. To enable their wards to carefully ponder and take an informed decision on their subject- choice based on aptitude, interest and personality.

Parents were informed about Univariety for session 2013, where students can avail career counselling from Univariety via counsellors at School by an online process. It assists comprehensively from career selection to filling out application forms. Principal, Mrs. Narula, emphasised the importance of choosing subjects carefully . She also emphasised the importance of being regular, punctual and earnest towards one's studies throughout the year.

Vice Principal, Mrs. Tania Joshi reinforced the need for a mature choice of the subjects alongwith the necessity to apply sincerity, and discipline consistently throughout the year.

The new subjects were introduced by the subject teachers, namely, Ms. Sukhmeen Cheema for Psychology, Ms. Nita Kapoor for Fashion Studies and Mr. S. Dutta for Engineering Graphics. The focus was on explaining the meaning and scope of the subject. All specific queries relating to the subjects was also addressed.

Various tools provided by our Smartclass facility provider, Educomp, that can be used effectively in class 11 were clarified.

The Principal concluded the session by introducing the parents to the summer internship program that the School offers in the months of May and June. She narrated the experiences of the children in the the previous year's internships and how the concept vastly enrixhes the learning in the child. She hoped more and more would opt for the opportunity this year.
