Poetry Recitation

As part of the Library Week celebrations, a Hindi Poetry Recitation by the students of class 4 was organised in the auditorium on 11th December 2015. The event was organised by Ms. Sushila Negi. The students recited a variety of Hindi poems by eminent Indian poets, each presented with great fervor to the delight of those sitting in the audience.

The recitation began with a brief introduction. Then each class came on stage by turn to recite their chosen poem. The poems had been selected keeping in mind the message they conveyed. A brief on this was given to the audience before the commencement of each recitation. Class IVA began the show with a recitation of the poem Himalaya by Shri Prasad. The poem conveyed feelings of national pride and a love for nature. Sukh Ki Kunji by Bhagwati Prasad was the next poem recited by the students of class IVB. This poem put across a meaningful message about hardwork being the key to success. This recitation was followed by the students of class IVC presenting Chhote Chhote Bacche by Dr. Piyush Kumar Sharma. The poem raises a voice against one of the great menaces of our society, namely child labour. This poem was an important choice as it attempted to instill an awareness of this issue amongst the children. The students of class IVD recited ArmaanYehi by Ram Naresh Tripathi. The poem conveyed that good deeds were essential. Good deeds performed by citizens made a nation proud. Finally, the students of Class IVE, recited the poem Chalna Hamara Kaam Hai by Shivmangal Singh Suman. The poem inspires one to always keep marching forward in life.

The recitation gave the students an opportunity to exhibit their talents and confidence and were applauded and appreciated by all present.
