Pratah Stuti 2023

Pratah Stuti at The Indian School on September 29, 2023, was a heartwarming annual celebration to commemorate Gandhi Jayanti, Lal Bahadur Shastri’s birth anniversary and Grandparents Day.

The event commenced with warm welcomes, setting the stage for a meaningful tribute to the Mahatma, highlighting his pivotal role in India’s independence, his advocacy of non-violence and his fight against social injustices.

The School choir and orchestra performed a soulful rendition of bhajans dear to and dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, creating the mood for the morning.

The highlight of the occasion was a nukkad natak performed by the students of classes I and II. Their performance was not only entertaining but also carried a powerful message.

To celebrate Gandhiji’s ideologies, students of classes 5 and 6 presented a skit that showcased Bapu's life and teachings, highlighting their continuing relevance.

A special moment of the event was when Mrs Rama Banerjee, grandparent stepped forward to some share timeless values inspired by Bapu. Her words resonated with wisdom and experience, offering a unique perspective on the importance of family values.

The event concluded with the vote of thanks by our young narrators, Aaryan and Adrika Chowdhury and refreshing Gujarati refreshments, washed down with a cup of masale tea! This provided an opportunity for attendees to mingle, share stories and strengthen the bond between the generations.
