Pre-primary celebrates Basant Panchami
Basant Panchami or Spring commences with the celebration of learning dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the epitome of learning, music and art.
Our Pre-primary Department conducted a virtual assembly to celebrate Basant Panchami on 4 February 2022.
The celebration commenced with the Saraswati Vandana sung by Prananya of PP Vega, invoking the blessing of Goddess Saraswati for knowledge and a prosperous life.
Aadya of PP Merak and Aarvika of PP Gemini welcomed the spring with a poem that highlighted the significance of Basant Panchami.
The children enacted the song, Spring is Here, depicting the different elements of the beauty of Basant. They were dressed as a bee (PP Orion Tashvika Grover), a bluebird (Rajsi PP Gemini), a ladybug (Harlin -PP Vega), a butterfly (PP Leo- Masaaya Madan) and a frog(PP Merak -Aarjav).
The presentation culminated with a mesmerising dance performance to the folk melody 'Aaya Basant Aaya'.
All the children wore celebratory yellow to match the season clothes that brightened their screens. The little ones enthralled the virtual audience with their performance.
