The Pre primary of The Indian School organised an engaging mock BRICS Summit on 10 September 2026, giving the young learners a delightful introduction to international cooperation, dialogue and teamwork.
The five Pre primary classes represented the BRICS countries: PP Merak- Brazil, PP Leo- Russia, PP Gemini- India, PP Orion- China, and PP Vega- South Africa. Dressed as delegates, the children proudly displayed their country badges and flags as the classroom transformed into a vibrant mini-summit venue.
The proceedings began with India welcoming the participating delegations. A specially designed presentation introduced the children to BRICS and its spirit of collaboration. When asked what a BRICS Summit meant, Zorawar Joshi of Merak volunteered that it is a meeting where countries come together to discuss problems and find solutions.
Agenda 1: Saving Our Earth
The young delegates shared their country’s commitment to protect the planet: Brazil to protect forests, Russia to keep its rivers and snow clean, India to plant more trees, China to make the air cleaner, and South Africa to protect wild animals.
When asked, “Can one country save the Earth by itself?”, all the delegates promptly held up their “No” placards.
A young enthusiast from PP Leo summed up the message: “We all have to work together”.
Agenda 2: AI and Technology for Learning
The delegates explored how AI, computers and robots can support learning. They discussed learning new words, supporting teachers, creating engaging lessons, using smart learning tools and ensuring access to technology for every child.
The discussion culminated in the BRICS resolution- “We will use technology wisely to help every child learn and grow.”
Agenda 3: Satellites and Space Technology
The young diplomats explored how satellites help with weather forecasting, communication, agriculture, education, forest monitoring and emergency assistance. They agreed that countries should collaborate to use space technology for the benefit of people and the planet.
“Together, BRICS will use space technology to help people and protect our Earth.”
The BRICS Pledge
The summit concluded with the young delegates shaking hands as a symbol of friendship and unity, followed by the BRICS Pledge- “We promise to be kind, learn together, use technology wisely, care for our Earth and be good friends.”
The BRICS Summit was a joyf-ul learning experience that nurtured confidence, communication, teamwork and global awareness, proving that even our youngest learners can think big, speak with purpose and work together for a better world.
