Pre primary Recognition Day

Recognition Day is held to honour the exemplary achievements of students at School. On this occasion the management, teachers and staff recognise the outstanding performance in both scholastic and co-scholastic areas. . It is one of the most exciting and eagerly awaited eve on the academic calendar and a milestone in the lives of the students.

The Pre-primary Department of The Indian School observed Recognition Day on 21st July 2018 in the School Foundation Hall. The event witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of proud parents and teachers.

Head Teacher, Pre primary, Ms. Ritu Singh warmly welcomed the assembly. She shared her thoughts on the value of perseverance and the need to motivate our young learners. This was followed by encouraging words from Principal, Ms. Tania Joshi.

Mrigasya student of class 4 and Drishti, student of class 5 compered the event with panache.

The ceremony began with the rendering of the Gayatri Mantra as a blessing for the young achievers. The parents were enthralled with the performance of our young Indianites. They eagerly awaited watching their wards being recognised at such an early stage in their lives!

The first set of awards was for Progressive Improvement . These were handed out by PTA Vice-President, Ms. Prachi Kacker. The anticipation on the faces of the young achievers was clearly evident as each stepped forward to collect a certificate of merit.

Next, the students from the Pre-primary choir presented a hymn, Walking with the lord .

The award ceremony, continued with PTA Secretary, Ms. Tina Kapoor handing over the next set of awards for Neat Worker.

Students walked up smartly to receive their awards for Oratory Skills from PTA Representative, Ms.Shibani Bansal, Active Volunteer from by Head Teacher, Ms.Ritu Singh and Enthusiastic Participant from Vice Principal Dr. Anu Singh .

At the onset of each set of announcements of awardees, category- wise, the junior choir elevated the occasion with song.

Vice Principal Ms. Sukhmeen Cheema presented the awards for Outstanding Performance. As delighted parents clapped, the applause reverberated through the auditorium.

Last but not the least, awards for Best in Arts Dance, Skating, Music and Yoga were handed out by Head Teacher- Primary, Ms. Sharayu Paralikar.

The morning concluded with the singing of the School song by the teachers and the students together.
