Pre primary takes an excursion to the Safdarjung Tomb

The Indian School organised an educational excursion for the Pre primary students to the Safdarjung Tomb  on 11 February 2026. The trip was a great success, with 110 enthusiastic students accompanied by 10 staff members who ensured their safety and active participation throughout the visit.

The pleasant weather enhanced the children’s excitement and enjoyment. During the visit, the students explored the well-maintained gardens, fountains and the magnificent monument built of red sandstone and white marble. They were introduced to the history of Safdarjung and observed the grand dome-shaped structure along with its intricate carvings. The excursion helped to spark their curiosity and deepen their understanding of India’s rich cultural heritage and historical architecture.

The visit also encouraged the development of essential skills such as observation, communication and respect for heritage. The trip proved to be both engaging and enjoyable, successfully blending learning with fun. The students returned with cherished memories and a renewed interest in learning more about our rich cultural legacy.
