Pre primary Vega Janmashtami Assembly
PP Vega of The Indian School celebrated Janmashtami with much joy and enthusiasm on 23 August 2019 at a wonderful special assembly.
The excited tiny-tots came dressed in traditional costume as Radha and Krishna, setting off the festive feel. The celebration included beautiful handmade decorations- matkis, flutes, peacock feather head-gear all specially crafted by the little ones for the occasion.

The assembly commenced with a welcome and a brief introduction about the festival by Ayesha, our extremely young and confident student-anchor! The pre-primary band of singers next sang Achyutam Keshavam -an invocation to Lord Krishna. A skit brought alive the antics of the playful makhan chor in an endearing role play, story narration and accompanying musical score.
Sanchay and Hiba gave an impressive and informative talk on the significance of this popular festival and the manner of its celebration. They spoke about how Janamshtami teaches us to love others around us and to share. The festivities culminated in a delightful dance performance which drew loud applause and squeals of delight from the enthralled young audience! It was a fun filled morning of edutainment.
