Pre- primary visits the Rail Museum
The railway museum was an exciting and informative place for the children of Pre-primary. They could scarcely believe they were seeing life-size train bogies which they could actually explore! They appeared immensely more interesting than the toy ones that they owned at home!
The children were walked around the indoor displays which showed the history of the Indian Railways as their teachers explained patiently. The gallery had a spectacular display of a fire-engine, a steam- engine, a double-decker toy train etc.

After a round of the gallery, we were all taken for a joy ride on a toy train. The initial anxiety amongst some quickly released into excitement and several children promptly recollected family holidays on the train!
After an enjoyable joy ride, the children had built up adequate appetites for the yummy picnic treats they had carried from home.
Needless to say we all came back happy and enriched.
As told by Ms. Othilia Fernandes.
