Pre-School Excursion to Nehru Park

Our little Pre-Schoolers went on an excursion to Nehru Park on a cloudy autumn morning, 8 November 2013. The air was bracing and the children were restive to leave. We boarded our buses at 8.45 am and reached Nehru Park by 9.15 am.

Once we entered, we settled down and then set out on a nature trail. On our way, we, teachers pointed out the diverse varieties of foliage around us. We felt the barks of trees and the surfaces of leaves and told their differences. We identified the numerous shades of green and we observed the distinctive patterns of leaves on different shrubs. The numerous bright beds of Canna caught the children's fancy.

The nature walk done, we played games we had planned for the children. There were races for those were were inclined before they hungrily dug into their Nutrimeal packed snack especially carried for them. Reluctantly thereafter we boarded our buses.

To complete the exercise, the children drew and coloured their memory of the excursion.
