Competition plays an important role in academic achievement because it often spurs students to pursue excellence. Four students Meenaksh Manoj of VD, Bhuvi Kashyap of VE, Ainesh of IVE and Uday Soni of IVC participated in the 28th edition of the MOD Quiz on Friday 28th August, 2015 at Modern School, Vasant Vihar. This inter-school quiz was dedicated exclusively for students of classes IV and V.
The programme commenced with a group rendition of a Hindi prayer, by the host school. Principal Ms. Meenakshi Sahni welcomed the participating schools and declared the quiz open. The duration of the event was from 8:30 am to 12:30 p.m.Thirteen schools took part in the competition. It was a general quiz encompassing questions from sports, science, history, geography, films, music, art, entertainment, etc. [gallery link="file"]The quiz comprised a preliminary written test consisting of ten multiple choice questions, after which seven teams were shortlisted. Following this was the challenging question answer round, at which four teams were shortlisted to proceed further. The Indian School qualified for the semi-final round. The quiz witnessed the lively and enthusiastic participation of students where they vied with each other to answer the questions. The children came home enriched and abundantly informed.
