Principal Counsellor Meet, 2013

Our teachers, Ms. Sangeeta Verma and Ms. Pooja Bahl from the Economics and Commerce departments respectively attended the ISBF Principal Counsellor Meet, 2013 chaired by Dr. Keith Sharp, Director, University of London International Programmes at London School of Economics and Political Science. Held on 15 February, 2013 at the British Council, the event was organised by the Indian School of Business and Finance (ISBF), an affiliate centre of University of London International Programmes. The aim was an opportunity to students of class 12 to explore the possibilities of degrees such as BSc. Economics, B.Sc. Business and B.Sc. Business and Management from the LSE, University of London. The chief speakers were Dr. Keith Sharp, Director International Programmes, LSE, Ms Sally Director, Education, British Council, India, Dr. Jitin Chadha, Director ISBF and Ms. Charushilla Narula, Head Admissions and Students Affairs, University of London Programmes, ISBF. The key features of the presentations made by the speakers were as follows. 1. Students to get an honours degree in a span of 3 years, 2. Meritorious students can seek transfer to LSE in the 2nd year to pursue their studies at LSE. 3. All leading universities across the globe recognise and accept these degrees for admission into post- graduation courses. 4. Design of curriculum, examination, assessments and evaluation of papers is by LSE examiners. There is sustained commitment to excellence in accordance with the norms set by LSE. 5. Students with an aggregate of minimum 70% in class 12 are eligible for the entrance test followed by personal interview.
