On Friday, 30 August 2019, Modern School , Vasant Vihar , conducted its annual quiz calledThe Mod Quiz 2019 for classes 4 and 5. 15 schools from all over Delhiparticipated. Our School sent 4 students from classes 4 and 5- Arunabh Rakshit, Advay Sethi, Mahim Sahani and Mehak Mahto were the participants, who were accompanied by their teacher, Ms. Sargam Sharma.
The event began by seeking the blessings of the Almighty in a beautiful prayer sung bythe host schools western music choir. After that the Principal and Headmistress addressed the gathering to motivate the participating teams.
[gallery link="file"]The quiz was conducted by two quiz masters and was divided into three phases.
Phase 1 was a question-answer round where the teams had to answer 10 multiple choicequestions for which they were given 30 seconds to answer each.
Phase 2 comprised 2 rounds. Round 1 was a visual round where each team was shown a visual and had to answer the questions that followed. Round 2 was an audio-visualround.
Phase 3 was further divided into 2 rounds. Round 1 was based on Mental Math where each team was asked a question and round 2 was the final rapid fire round.
It was a funfilled learning experience for children as they got to learn a lot more than what they had prepared as they were exposed to questions of an unusual kind.
