The students of classes 10, 11 and 12 along with teachers and alumni, assembled in great anticipation for the annual festive event. We waited to welcome back our alumni in great Navratra ambience of dandiya, diyas, dilli ki chaat!
The evening commenced with students of class 9 doing the dandiya in it's traditional style. The rest of us stood around and tapped to the beat even whilst we excitedly chatted up with our seemingly 'long-left' pals! Ofcourse, quickly the enchanting beats drew us to the dancing arena and the circle became tightly knit.
[gallery columns="4"] The tempo of the music and dance built steadily and the pitch became intoxicating in the company of our dear friends. We were unrelenting for the next whole hour and then we broke for a bite. The aroma of the pav bhaji, chaat and kulfi was enchanting and our appetites also not inadequate!Most of us continuously clicked the frames in our cameras and in our hearts. It had been yet another opportunity to return and rejoice together in the lawns we loved so much. The salt rangoli carpeting the main steps, created by the students, both old and us; the multitude of diyas and the bountiful blessings of our teachers, they all made for magical memories.
Like the past, we retired resistingly..
