Raksha Bandhan

The Pre-primary department celebrated Raksha bandhan with great enthusiasm. As we know this is a festival to express the love between brothers and sisters. It is a day when siblings pray for each others' well being.

The children presented the ritual that goes with celebrating Raksha bandhan. Two children from each section of Pre-school came dressed in ethnic attire. As per the tradition of our School, the girls tied their handmade rakhis on the boys wrists and equally. the boys tied their rakhis it on the girls wrists! And equally both sides claimed the sweets! What better way to teach Gender Equality? The children were told the significance of Raksha bandhan.
