Raksha Bandhan celebrations in Pre primary

We laugh, we cry.

We make time fly. We are best friends, my sister and I.

Raksha Bandhan celebrates the special bond between brothers and sisters. The importance of siblings and their role in the family contributes greatly to a happy and positive family.

PP Orion presented a special assembly on the occasion. The assembly started with a skit where the children gave a brief introduction about the origin of the festival and its enduring relevance, as it teaches the basic values of sharing and caring as an integral part of all relationships. The skit was followed by a choral recitation and a folk dance presentation.

She also spoke of gender equality and the need for brothers to, equally tie rakhis on the wrists of their sisters in a new world where neither is less than the other.

In the classroom, the boys and girls equally tied rakhis on one another in a spirit of great bonhomie and enthusiasm.
