Recognition Day in Pre-Primary

The Pre-Primary of The Indian School observed Annual Recognition Day on 15th July 2017 in the Foundation Hall. Recognition Day awards are a means to recognise good behaviour and develop in children a desire to achieve and to strive to do their best.

An enthusiastic gathering of parents assembled in the hall for the occasion despite the heavy rain. Head Teacher-Primary, Ms. Neena Maini welcomed parents and highlighted the importance of building skill and ability in the students by guiding and facilitating them. She narrated a story to illustrate how struggle is important for students to acquire mastery and confidence.

Principal, Ms. Tania Joshi congratulated all the proud parents for the achievements of their wards and reinforced how cooperation and collaboration between School and the parents brings out the best in the child.

The programme was ably compered by Rwiti Roy of 5-D and Aarav Mudliyar of 5-B. They welcomed the parents and coordinated the proceedings, announcing the names of the awardees. The ceremony began with an invocation by the young students of Pre Primary.

The categories of awards for recognition were: Marked Improvement, Good Helper, Neat Worker, Spoken English, Active Participant, and Outstanding Performance, Best in Art / Music / Dance / Skating and Yoga.

The occasion was graced by Ms. Madhavi Divan (Member of the Managing Committee), Vice Principals, Dr. Anu Singh and Ms. Sukhmeen Cheema and PTA representatives.

At the onset of each set of announcements of awardees, category wise, the junior choir elevated the occasion with song. Shrey Gogia of 10-C lent accompaniment on the Casio.The young choir from Pre Primary did their teachers proud by singing in great gusto and verve!

The awardees walked up on stage with poise beaming smiles to receive their awards as their delighted parents vigorously applauded in delight and pride.

The occasion concluded with the School Song sung by the teachers and students of the Pre-School and Pre-Primary. Parents were then invites for refreshments.

The day was a happy and rewarding one.
