Refresher Course for teachers

A training workshop for our teachers was conducted by Extra Marks on 1st April 2016. The duration of the workshop was 40 minutes. Extra Marks has made a number of changes in their software to fit the requirements of teachers and to make the software more user-friendly. The workshop aimed to refresh and equip teachers on how to use the software and also update them on the new changes. Extra Edge is the latest feature added to the system. It provides teachers with options that make teaching even more effective, interesting and entertaining. Live videos and experiments to help convey scientific concepts with ease, Vedic Maths and educational games to assist simple calculations, are some of the features that it includes.

Extra Marks provides something to suit the requirement of all subject teachers including computer science, which is a recent addition. It is in the process of upgrading content to cater to the needs of art and physical education teachers too. There are various animated videos of stories and poems for the primary level to enhance and test the listening skills of students. The new software also provides the option to print worksheets if needed. The trainer acquainted teachers with the process of using the software and cautioned them about precautions they must take while handling the hardware. She addressed various queries raised by the teachers. Teachers also provided the trainer with some valuable feedback to simplify and enhance the software further.
