Relationship Day- Celebrating Grandpa in Pre school and Pre primary

Grandparents are the pillars of a family, the greatest story- tellers, the keepers of traditions and probably the most precious treasures. With their unconditional affection, grandparents keep the family tightly together. We at School celebrated our Grandfathers on 19th May, 2018. Grandpas were warmly welcomed by the teachers and presented each with a handmade lapel which declared Best Grandpa Ever! The celebration started with a welcome by Ms. Ritu Singh, Head Teacher of the PrePrimary department. She spoke about the importance of grandparents for our young ones and the value of the precious bond for both the generations- grandparents and their grandchildren. The values that emanate from this bond are deep and everlasting she said.

The children presented some peppy songs and a dance specially prepared for the occasion. The mood was made for a game for the grandpas next! It was a quiz to guess the name of the song from a tracked played. And no prizes for guessing if the grandpas were amused! They were scarcely on their seats- so eager were they to give the right answer the fastest! Much excitement prevailed- there were prizes for the most prompt answers too! Soon it was time for a bite and our little ones, albeit with the help of their teachers and didis, served the refreshments. Pairs of grandpa and baby could be seen huddled together and sharing some yummy bites...laced with oodles of love!
