Republic Day Assembly
The Republic Day Assembly held on 23 January 2026, reflected the true significance of Republic Day. It was a vibrant display of patriotism, unity, and solidarity. The atmosphere was one of celebration and harmony, and the assembly also doubled as a celebration of Basant Panchami.
The assembly commenced with a recitation of Dr Rajendra Prasad’s famous oath, marking his appointment as the first President of India following the country’s declaration as a republic. This was followed by an impressive musical performance by the School choir, featuring classic patriotic songs such as Vande Mataram and Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja. The choir also presented the Saraswati Vandana in reverence to the Goddess of knowledge, art, and wisdom. Following the choir performance, an energetic yoga display was presented by enthusiastic students from various classes, highlighting discipline, balance, and physical well-being. The talented students then presented a symbolic and lively dance. The mesmerising performance captivated the audience and filled the atmosphere with a deep sense of patriotism and pride.
To conclude the event, everyone rose for the national anthem, bringing the assembly to a dignified close with the majestic chorus of Jana Gana Mana. The gathering proved to be a truly inspiring and memorable experience, serving as an important reminder of the spirit of unity and national pride.
