Rich awards at inter-school debate for senior students at Ramjas School.

Senior students of our School participated in the 18th Annual Inter-School Debate at Ramjas School, Pusa Road where Pritha Ray, Shivali Anand and Ayush Mallik lifted the First Runners- Up Trophy. The individual prizes were for Third Best Speaker Pritha Ray, Best Interjector Shivali Anand and Best speaker( Preliminary round)-Shivali Anand .

The preliminary round for the English Debate was held on 31 October, 2013. Competing with more than 60 schools of Delhi, Ayush Mallik and Pritha Ray qualified for the final round later held at the FICCI auditorium on 20 November, 2013. The topic of the debate in the prelims was: Society has started looking at the girl child differently while that of the final was Our time on earth is coming to a close. The judges were Ms. Nirmala Devi, noted educationist, Dr. Shahnaz Samantara, Professor at JNU and Mr. V. Ravi Kumar, media personality. The Guest of Honour was Ms. Manika A. Ahirwal and Chief Guest, author, Ms. Ira Trivedi. Earlier The Ramjas Inter School Hindi Debate 2013 was held on 29 October, 2013. In the preliminary round, the topic for the debate was Arthik sudharon ne savari kisanon ki dasha. here, Shivali Anand and Adil Khan represented our School and Shivali Anand was awarded the Best Speaker prize! Debate enhances public-speaking, analytical thinking and listening skill and it offers young speakers to express their innovative thoughts. Our enthusiastic participants returned enriched and elated having left their mark in a highly competitive debating circle. In the words of the jubilant winners, this victory will be cherished and the moment will be preserved amongst the best ones in our hearts!
