Rocket Launch Workshop at the National Science Centre
On 9th December 2016, 40 students from classes 8 to 10 were selected to attend a rocket launch workshop at the National Science Centre, under the guidance of professionals. In the first session, the students were given a brief introduction about space and about mans attempt to explore it. The students were thrown some stimulating questions that had them quickly don their thinking caps. Their excitement increased manifold when they came to know that they would be assembling their own rockets in pairs; with a chance to launch them too!

With accurate measurements and instruments provided, the students quickly got to work on their tasks and were ready with their creations in an hours time. Next, they were directed on how to ignite and launch them under proper supervision and tight security.
None of the items were allowed to be carried home for security reasons.
