Our debate team comprising Shrey Gogia of class XII- A, Jahnnobi Roy of class XII-D and Gunveer Singh Dhir of class X-E participated in an inter school debate titled Opinions Matter at DPS Mathura Road on 20 August, 2019.
Students of prominent schools from across Delhi NCR showcased their prowess as fine orators. The participants were required to speak on the topic Gandhian Principles can help in reshaping lost morality. Shrey Gogia spoke for the motion whilst Jahnnobi expressed her views against the motion. Gunveer was the Interjector. [gallery] The participants presented their arguments with great conviction. Their style, rich vocabulary, interpretation of the topic supported with appropriate quotes and witty rebuttals was a treat to the ears. It was a matter of pride to watch these young citizens-to-be display such immense confidence and clarity besides finesse in their articulations. Finally, the best moment came when our team was named the winner of the event! Our proud debators lifted the Rolling Trophy with in utter delight! Shrey and Jahnnobi were adjudged Second Best Speaker and Third Best Speaker respectively at the event. Congratulations to the deserving team!
