Shooting range experience for class 9
44 students of class IX of The Indian School and The Indian School-Second Shift visited the IGI Stadium, on 12 December 2025, to participate in a shooting experience programme organised by the Gagan Narang Sports' Promotion Foundation (Guns for Glory). The workshop proved to be both enriching and enjoyable, offering students a valuable opportunity to explore a new sport under expert supervision in a professional environment.
The instructors were highly supportive and systematic in their approach, carefully explaining safety protocols, shooting techniques and essential guidelines before the practical session commenced. The venue resonated with enthusiasm and anticipation as students stepped onto the shooting range, displaying a commendable blend of excitement and concentration.
During the programme, several participants were interviewed and shared their positive experiences, expressing their delight at engaging in a sport that was entirely new to them.
A short refreshment break allowed students to relax and interact, while personalised paper targets were carried home as meaningful souvenirs.
The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participants, with Certificates of Merit awarded to a few outstanding performers. Individual and group photographs marked a fitting end to the day, capturing the spirit of learning, teamwork and accomplishment.
Overall, the workshop not only introduced students to a new sporting discipline but also fostered confidence, discipline and focus, contributing significantly to their holistic development.
