Skating Exhibition, Pre primary department.
The SKATING EXHIBITION held on 22 February, 2013, was a culmination of all that was taught through the year. The Pre-school when they join us in April, at the starting of the new academic year, are in the process of getting used to boarding a bus, allowing their didi to take them for their natural needs, trying to be brave and independent in the class. Naturally, they, who can, just about, walk, take their time to learn to run.
So it was a tremendous difference, to see them not only walk but run and glide on their SKATES. If the Pre-5school surprised us, the Pre-primaries went several rungs higher, by not only gliding, but also zigzagging through the obstacle course created by the instructor. They glided in circles and ensured that even as they fell, they moved away so that there was no pile up!
As learning progresses, life skills get packed in, as it were. Focus, freedom, discipline, responsibility, love for sport, team spirit and camaraderie are some.

The rink was packed with our jolly giants as the spectators were seated section wise on grey carpets and looked on in great anticipation at their teammates who were representing their class and section.
The pre-schoolers began the display with a walk, followed by a run on their skates and then making an oval formation. When they vacated, the pre primary representatives took over us with their gliding, their skating past the obstacle course and a few friendly races. The display encompassed the entire exercise earmarked for the activity for the Pre primary section.
