Skype interaction for primary

The present times are laden with opportunities to travel the world even whilst physically confined in our classrooms! Technology has given us limitless options to explore the world at the click of a mouse.

In the relentless pursuit of a global classroom, a Skype session was held between class I of The Indian School and those of the Dien Phong Primary School in Vietnam on 6 July 2019.

Ms Ishleen Saluja and Ms Ngoc Hu yen Bui, certified Microsoft educator, assisted the young learners in their endeavor to forge closer ties by learning about each others countries.

The session commenced with an introduction of the national flags of the two countries. A comprehensive exchange ensued on different aspects of the education system, architecture, time difference, the wide disparity in climate and how it affects the students in both India and Vietnam.

The exciting exchange concluded with an entertaining recitation of poems in Hindi and Vietnamese by the young students.

This Skype session is testimony of a new familiarity with an unfamiliar culture.
