Skype interaction with a Russian educator for class 8 on National Math Day
An interactive Skype session was organised on 22nd December, 2021 for the students of class VIII as a part of National Mathematics Day celebrations. The resource person was Mr Valeriy Ivaschenko, a Russian educationist at School 39, Kemerovo, Serbia. He challenged the students with a math question, based on the concept of area of squares and circles.
After a formal greeting and introduction, the students were guided step- by- step to solve the given problem. Mr. Ivaschenko was pleasantly surprised to see that our students were able to answer his questions with ease. At the end of the session, they were asked to identify an area where they could apply the knowledge gained about Area and Perimeter in real life.
After this informative session, our enthusiastic learners were curious to learn more about the famous mathematicians of Russia.
