A virtual special assembly ensured that the little ones of Pre primary were acquainted with the life and teachings of Guru Nanak on 18 November, 2021 as homage on the great Guru's birth anniversary.
Karanbir Singh Anand and Manan Aggarwal of PP Leo welcomed the audience and spoke of the significance of the occasion. Gurjaap Singh of PP Orion and Jasmyra of PP Merak described how the festive day is observed among Sikhs around the world.
The students, dressed in traditional attire, exuded confidence as they spoke. A video showcasing the Prabhat Pheri, a procession that marks the start of the special day at dawn, with devotees singing prayers and hymns was shown to the children. The dulcet tones of the prayer Ek Onkar chanted by Harshdeep of PP Merak, and a soulful rendition of the shabad Shukar Dhatiya along with its explanation by Guruveer Singh of PP Gemini, bewitched the audience.
[gallery link="file" order="DESC"]A captivating performance staged by the students apprised their peers of the teachings of the Guru. A story on his life narrated by one of the teachers, was a lesson in love, brotherhood and compassion towards all living beings.
The day spent in reverence of Guru Nanak Dev brought each one close.
