Special assembly for Guruparab by Pre school

A special assembly on Gurupurab was held on 3rd November, 2017 by PS Delphini class in the School auditorium. Life becomes a festival when gaiety and culture blend.

The children spoke by turn about the significance of Gurupurab and the timeless values of Guru Nanak who travelled far and wide teaching people the message of equality, goodness and brotherhood.

The children enthusiastically replicated the Prabhat Pheri or morning procession with the traditional devotional chants. The procession was led by a child carrying a replica of the holy Nishan Sahib followed by a train of young devotees playing the manjira and the khartaal.

A video showcased the life and teachings of the great Guru, the founder of the Sikh faith and the holy Guru Granth Sahib which contains his teachings as 974 hymns.

The assembly concluded in piety with a choralrecitation of the Ek Omkar and a taste of delicious Karah prashad which was served to the children. Head Teacher, Ms. Ritu Singh warmly appreciated the assembly and reiterated the simple yet everlasting values of Guru Nanakdev for the children to follow everyday.
