Special Assembly on Diwali by Pre primary

It is time to dispel the darkness of ignorance within and replace it with the light of hope and knowledge. The Festival of Lights came alive when the Pre-primary children of The Indian School virtually conducted a special assembly on Diwali with zeal on 2 November 2021.

The programme commenced with a brief description of the festival by the students, by turn. They spoke a few lines to share information about why and when the festival is celebrated.

The children presented a delightful skit to spread awareness about the harmful effects of fireworks and motivate their listeners to ensure a safe and environment-friendly Diwali.

The students showed concern for the ill effects of crackers, and they pledged to celebrate a Green Diwali by saying NO TO CRACKERS. An endearing recitation of short poems on Diwali by the tiny tots left the audience in awe.

The young choir sang Diwali songs-' Deep jalao deep jalao' and ' Mere tumhare sabke liye'. The audience applauded the foot-tapping group dance by the proficient young dancers.

The assembly was a fine composition of dance, drama and music, aesthetically showcasing Indian traditions and values.

The programme was enjoyed by one and all.
