Special Assembly on Dussehra
A special assembly on Dussehra was held by our young Pre schoolers on 18 October 2023.
The assembly began with a perfect rendition of the prayer titled 'God’s Love, It’s So Wonderful,' by the young and enthusiastic choir. Titiksha Goel narrated a short extract from the Ramayana and recited a few shlokas in Sanskrit. In a story enactment, seven animal friends - Aiza Helal (the lion), Darshil Tiwari (the bear), Daisha Kaur (the squirrel), Aarna Aggarwal (the owl), Vihaan Oberoi (the rabbit), and Aarya Gupta (the monkey) embarked upon an adventure in the Sunderbans, where they faced the vicious Sparkle, the witch, portrayed by Ira. The story beautifully conveyed the essence of Dussehra, that is the triumph of good over evil.
Following the story enactment was a lively dandiya dance by Aiza, Aarna, Cherisha, Ira, Ruhi, Sargun, Daisha, Vanshika, Vritika, and Mayra. Their zestful performance delighted the audience. It is worth noting that the assembly saw a 100% participation from the Pre schoolers, which is a testimony to their dedication and passion for the event.
An eager audience, comprising children and teachers of both the Pre School and Pre Primary sections, was seen enjoying the assembly. The vibrant special assembly not only celebrated the cultural significance of Dussehra but also emphasised values such as unity, courage, and friendship, leaving a lasting impression on all those in attendance. The event underscored the school's commitment to holistic education and building a sense of community among its youngest members.
