Class 4C conducted an assembly on 19 October, 2012, on the topic Eco- friendly Diwali. The programme commenced with an introductory speech by Jessica followed by a short skitpresented by a group of 6 students to spread the message of celebrating a cracker- free Diwali. The skit was enacted by Raghavendra, Twisha, Akshita, Gunveer, Syon and Bhamini. Raghavendra played the role of Mr. Environment!
Yashasvi suggested ways of making the Diwali celebrations environmentally-friendly with a brief talk. This was followed by a foot-tapping dance, Aai Diwali.The dance performed in colourful costumes and set to music, highlighted the festivity and good cheer of the festival.
The Principal and other guests appreciated the assembly, applauded the performers and encouraged students to celebrate a pollution-free Diwali.
