The programme started with a brief introduction of Gandhiji by our little Indianites, Hitakshi Thakur, Tanishka Chadha, Hitan Saini, Ransh Ranjan and Aarav Pratihari. They took turns to explain how Bapus role in attaining freedom for India was pivotal. This was followed with the class choir singing Bapus favourite devotional song Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram. It had been an earnest endeavour on the part of the teachers to bring those children to the forefront, who are otherwise reserved or shy in the classroom.

A fusion of patriotic songs were sung by the other choir group of the class. The assembly ended with the children presenting a dance to the popular song Bande me tha Dum, Vande Mataram, glorifying Bapu and his role.
