Special assembly on Janamashtami by Pre primary Gemini

On September 6, 2023, the Pre Primary section of The Indian School observed Janamashtami, at a special assembly hosted by Pre Primary Gemini.

The little ones sensitively enacted the scene where Lord Krishna lifts the Govardhan Parvat on his little finger to protect the people of Vrindavan from the storm. This skit emphasised the message that Lord Indra's anger was not warranted and was destructive. The tiny tots dressed as Bal Krishna, the villagers, Lord Indra, and the Gopis looked adorable.

The songs Krishna khade Madhuban Mein, and Chhoti chhoti gaiya chhote-chhote gwal, enchanted the audience. The children presented a creative dance in colourful and vibrant costumes of Radha and Krishna. The dance was a treat for the eyes. The assembly was a joyous mosaic of dance, drama, and music. It facilitated the young students' familiarity with traditional values. A short story of Krishna and Shesh Naag was also narrated by Head Teacher, Ms Vandana Tiwari.

The enthused class engaged in a craft activity of decorating the mukuts or headgear. The children looked adorable in their self-designed headgear. The children were urged to enjoy the festival with their families.
