Special assembly on Parakram Diwas 2024

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose once said, “We should have but one desire today – the desire to die so that India may live – the desire to face a martyr’s death, so that the path to freedom may be paved with the martyr’s blood.”

With a similar patriotism in our hearts and respect for the legendary freedom fighter and leader of the INA, an assembly for classes 6 and 7 was organised on 23 January 2024 on Netaji’s 127th birth anniversary. His birth anniversary was declared Parakram Diwas by the government in 2021.

The assembly began with a beautiful rendition of the Saraswati Vandana by Swaransh Choudhry and Aditya Pathak of class VII D. An informative speech on Netaji’s life, his family and his contribution to India’s freedom was presented by Jayesh Chopra and Misha Singhal of VII A. Swaransh Choudhry and Tanmay Virmani of class VII D recited the patriotic poem, written by Gopal Prasad Vyas, a Hindi poet and freedom fighter himself. This poem describes the sacrifice and courage of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Students then recited the timeless slogans made popular by Netaji- “ , ” , “ , , ”, “ , ”

In the patriotic environment of the assembly, the students of class VII A and VII D demonstrated their enthusiasm towards the freedom fighters. They spoke about Netaji and his INA which selflessly worked to restore the glory of the nation. The assembly awakened the spirit of national identity and also made the students feel proud of their motherland and the people who sacrificed for her.

The assembly concluded with a patriotic song sung by the School choir.
