Special assembly on Road Safety by class 2D

On July 24, 2024, the auditorium of The Indian School was illuminated with the vibrant presentation of a special assembly conducted by class 2 D on Road Safety. The assembly aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of following road safety rules to prevent accidents and ensure everyone’s safety.

The assembly began with an introduction by the students, highlighting the significance of road safety in our daily lives. They accentuated the benefits of road safety measures that can save lives and prevent injuries.

Following the introduction, the tiny tots highlighted various aspects of road safety as:

• “Always look both ways before crossing the street.”

• “Use the pedestrian crossing to stay safe.”

• “Wear a helmet when riding a bicycle.”

• “Never run on the road, always walk carefully.”

• “Follow traffic signals and signs.”

After this confident performance the stage was set for a skit illustrating common road safety scenarios and the correct behaviours to adopted. The skit depicted scenes such as crossing the road at a zebra crossing, waiting for the traffic light to turn green, and the importance of wearing seat belts in a car. Through their engaging performance, the children effectively demonstrated the do’s and don’ts of road safety in a notable way.

To conclude, the students recited a poem titled “Rules of Safety,” which reinforced the key message shared through the assembly. The assemblage culminated with a round of applause from the audience, appreciating the efforts of class 2D in spreading awareness about road safety.  Head Teacher, Ms Vandana Tiwari praised the students for their excellent presentation and reminded everyone of the importance of practicing road safety daily.

The assembly was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on the students and staff, and reinforcing the message that road safety is everyone’s responsibility.
