Special assembly on Safety First by class IB

Class IB conducted a special assembly on the theme Safety First in the School auditorium on 29th November, 2017. The aim was to raise awareness amongst the junior students about safety in our daily routine. The entire class participated in the assembly.

Aaryan Sehgal made a short introductory speech, to educate his peers in the audience about safety. Students presented simple yet effective safety measures using skits. The first skit highlighted the threat to life from sharp objects, electrical wires, wet floors at home etc.

The second skit drew the attention of students to road safety and threats from moving vehicles. It showcased the possibility of injury unless we sit carefully while travelling. This skit also described threats from strangers.

[gallery link="file" order="DESC"] The third skit focussed on safety measures to be followed at School. Special emphasis was laid on the need for good conduct at School. The skit included safety measures to be followed in classrooms, corridors, while ascending and descending the stairs, etc. The concept of good and bad touch was also explained through this skit.

The assembly concluded with students reciting a poem on safety. Students were shown a video, Stranger Danger. The students performed very confidently and in great enthusiasm. The audience was very receptive and a actively enjoyed the assembly.
