Special Displays by Pre-Primary

A showcasing of activities, a core component of our curriculum, was conducted on 25 February, 2014. Children selected from both Pre-school and Pre-Primary confidently exhibited all they had learnt at skating, yoga and music through the year. The event was held on the School basketball courts at 9 am. Expectedly, all the children were excited, and impatient to kick-off!

To begin with, the choir from amongst them, smartly assembled to sing aloud. The spirit was set as " I want to clap clap, I love the pit-pit-patter of the rain drop rang out in melody and unison. Thereafter our little skilled skaters took the floor to display their formidable art of balancing on their skates even as they bowed in and out of delicate formations. Each one showed keeness to be noticed even as they were conscious that they must carefully observe team decorum! All of us in the audience could scarcely take our eyes away.

This was followed by our energetic young yogies who quickly took the floor. They started with the 12- step Suryanamaskar followed by the chakki asana, the butterfly asana, the baby posture, the half-spinal twist, concluding with the mountain posture. Nicely synchronised with the beat of the customary gong and with each performer completely united with his/ her act! The display concluded with a short medley of patriotic songs and the national anthem.
