Specially assembly for Story telling by class 5
On 28th April, 2017 all sections of class 5 presented a special assembly in the School auditorium, as a part of Literary Week. They selected some classic stories and presented them as enactments, recitation and a nukkad-natak. The highlight of the assembly was the full
participation of every child across class 5.
The comperes for the programme were Aviral Gupta and Ayan Nath of class VC.
Class VA: - Akbar-Birbal A Pound of Flesh.
The story about how Birbal, Akbars favourite minister was a favourite of commoners because of his wit and wisdom. The moral of the story was Being harsh upon someone else can really hurt oneself sometimes.
Class VB: - Presented a scene from Shivajis life. The story was that of Shivajis escape from Agra Fort. Many students were attired in costume with props which added authenticity to the enactment. Slides played as a backdrop.

Class VC: - Presented A Tale of the Melon City by Vikram Seth, as a recitation. This is a story where a melon was declared king! The students recited the story beautifully and each student came, having learnt his lines. Slides played for a backdrop.
Class VD: - Presented Little Red Riding Hood-Poem by Roald Dahl. Some children spoke the lines whilst the others did a role play of the tale.
Class VE: - Presented a nukkad-natak with creative handmade props for a effective impact on the theme- Save the Environment.
Towards the end a group of students of class IV 'paid a visit' to the auditorium dressed up as characters from Harry Potter! They spoke a few lines about the character which they represented, as a cue to the audience to identify the character!
The assembly concluded with the School song.
