SPICMACAY programme, classes 5-9.

10 students of classes 5 to 9 attended an enriching Sitar recital by Pandit Debu Chaudhury on 30 October, 2012 at DPS International School. The programme was organised by SPICMACAY.

[gallery columns="4"] Pandit Debu Chaudhury started his programmewith an open session for free interaction with the students. He discussed the basics of Indian classical music and gave a glimpse of the history of Indian musical instruments. He later presented a piece from Raga Bhairavi followed by 2 songs based on the raga from old Hindi films. It was an enriching experience for the students as well as the accompanying teachers.
