Srijan- inter school competition for primary.

SRIJAN an inter school competition, held at Modern School Vasant Vihar on 28th July2015 saw participation by our School in 3 categories. The first category was a debate in Hindi for classes VIII-X. The topic for debate was ' Crime against women has nothing to do with the way they dress up'. Two students from class X Simran Narula and Soumya Saxena spoke for and against the topic respectively. Soumya was adjudged Best Speaker for expressing her views with clarity, conviction and poise. She was appreciated by one and all present there. The second category was a humorous one-act play for students of classes IV and V. In this category Mannat Suri and Manya Arora from class IV and Ridit Anand, Keshav Gupta, Aditya Matta and Gurveen Kaur from class V presented a short and humorous skit named Poshak Sammelan. Their talent and confidence on stage won them the third position in the competition. The concept of the skit was also given a special mention by the judges. The third and the last category was a poem-recitation in Hindi based on light sattire, in which Raghavendra Gulia and Dhruv Rathi of class VII participated. It was a good learning experience for our students, beginning from the preparation for the event to participation in it. The students of The Indian School made the best use of this opportunity to showcase their talent and boost their confidence. And most importantly TO WIN! As told by Ms. Priya Manchanda.
