Storytelling on Skype for class 3A
The art of storytelling is about bringing stories to life. Using a puppet to tell a story is a wonderful technique that can particularly engage young children to discover the joy of literature.
Puppets can be used anyway, anywhere, and anytime to bring stories to life and to spark young imaginations. As Caroline Feller Bauer writes in Leading Kids to Books through Puppets- just remember to Think Simple, Think Lively, Think Fun, and alwaysThink Books!
Towards this end, students of class III A connected with the kindergarteners of Sunbeam School, Varanasi via Skype on 23 July2019.

One enthusiastic young Indianite at a time wore the intriguing cloak of a storyteller to tell the tale. Aryan Sehgal skilfully narrated the story of The Arrogant Tiger to the KG students. To their immense delight, he used exciting puppets of the tiger and bear. After the storytelling session, he engaged them in a discussion on the characters and the moral lesson conveyed in the story.
Next, Misha Singhal told the story of Rapunzel with help of stick puppets. This story took the little ones of Sunbeam School to the faraway lands of fantasy.
The session finished with satisfied and smiling faces as technology literally cast aside the distance between Delhi and Varanasi.
