A trip to Tehri by a group of 39 students (classes V to VII) and 4 teachers (Ms. Shikha Sharma, Mr. Shankar Sarkar, Mr. Rohit Dubey, and Ms. Asha Lakshmi) was a thrilling and educational experience. Spanning five days, the trip gave the group a chance to explore the natural beauty of Tehri and engage in team-building activities.
Day 1 (May 23, 2023): Excited and eager, students boarded the bus at School at 10 p.m., to begin the journey. A quick stop at Meerut was en route was a quick break. The students were in great spirits and looking forward to the adventure ahead.
Day 2 (May 24, 2023): The group arrived at Tehri Retreat-Kanatal at around 7 a.m. After a hearty breakfast, the students actively participated in a series of fun-based activities. These activities helped foster teamwork, cooperation, and communication skills among the students. In the afternoon, students embarked on a thrilling trekking expedition and engaged in an exciting treasure hunt. The students showcased their problem-solving abilities and collaboration. The overnight stay at the well-equipped camp provided a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Day 3 (May 25, 2023): Next morning after a sumptious breakfast, a visit was made to the magnificent Tehri Lake and Dam. The team mentor enlightened the group about the fascinating history of the Dam, emphasising its significance in power generation and supplying electricity to various states. The students explored the dam and its picturesque surroundings, soaking in the breath-taking views.
After a hearty lunch at the camp, the students indulged in the thrilling activity of Zip Lining. In the evening, a lively musical night and bonfire added to the festive atmosphere, creating unforgettable memories.
Day 4 (May 26, 2023): The following morning, post breakfast, the group proceeded to Mussoorie by bus. The students explored the vibrant market on Mall Road, engaging in shopping the local handicrafts. Before heading to Gun Hill, everyone relished a delicious lunch. Post dinner, the group boarded the coach for the journey back to Delhi.

The trip provided the students with a perfect blend of adventure activities and social skill development. Along with enjoying thrilling experiences, the students learned important values such as teamwork, sharing, and caring.
The Tehri trip was an enriching and enjoyable experience for both students and teachers alike. The breath-taking natural beauty and adventure activities left a lasting impression on everyone. The students not only developed physical and social skills but also gained a deeper appreciation for nature and the importance of teamwork. Overall, the trip was a resounding success, creating cherished memories and valuable learning opportunities.
