SUMMER PROJECT EXHIBITION- PP department.

The Pre-Primary Department organised a Summer Project Exhibition as per tradition on 19th July14. It is a celebration of sorts of the family time spent together to create something special as directed by School.

Various exhibits prepared painstakingly by the students were on display. As per the School theme of the year; ' States along the West Coast' , the children were given projects relating to their allotted states. To illustrate, the following projects were undertaken by the students :-

(a) Gemini class got Maharashtra. The children prepared table mats made from old wedding invitation cards and painted with attempts at Warli art. (b) Leo Karnataka. File folders and bags were made from waste paper incorporating Rangoli designs. (c) Merak Gujarat. Students created unusual Torans from waste cloth. (d) Orion - Goa. The children made colourful macaroni necklaces. (e) Vega - Kerala. Coasters were made using coir and paint.

Similarly the Pre-School children recycled old CDs to make innovative models of Ganesha, the snail, fish, tortoise etc. [gallery] Students shared their joy and fulfilment at their creations. What a boost in their self-confidence it gave ! The variety of projects not only honed their aesthetics and creativity but also helped them understand the importance of recycling waste material to conserve our meagre natural resources.

Family photographs were a fond recollection of trips made to various holiday destinations during the summer vacations. Students seemed excited spotting their peers in the photographs and some were also seen discussing the places they visited in great animation!

It was indeed a rewarding experience to witness the effort of our tiny tots. The exhibits showcased the talent and creativity of our young students of PPs and PSs and were appreciated by all parents who acknowledged the hard work and learning that lent itself to the process.
