Swar-Tarang-2015, inter-school music fest
.....And the semi-classical melody rafted across the hall, leaving the audience steeped in utter amazement and appreciation.
A group of 11 students from classes 8 to 11 participated in an inter-school music competition "Swar-Tarang", held at D.P.S. R.K. Puram on 6 August, 2015. They were accompanied by their music teacher, Ms. Suchismita Chatterjee. There were 2 events: Duet, where the students had to sing a semi-classical song linked to the monsoon; and Group song, where the students had to sing a qawwali.
Our students sang the famous Kajri Barsan laagi badariya in the duet category and Aye ri sakhi more khwaja ghar aye in the group song category. The group song ended with intense applause and as anticipated, our School comfortably lifted the second prize in the category!
